I remembered. I'm so proud of myself. We had a very nice weekend. We had my oldest friend that was my next door neighbor, and her hubby over and then we went out for dinner and then came back to our place for dessert. We use to go to the trouble of fixing dinner for each other, but as we've gotten older we've started going out to dinner and then just having dessert. So much more relaxing. It was a nice evening when we go home, so we sat out on the patio. Patti and Greg came home from somewhere just to change clothes so they stopped over for a few minutes to say hello as they know these friends because we've known them so long that she even know their kids. We've done things together for years as family's together and had lots of fun. Now with all of our kids being married it's hard to get the kids together anymore. Usually we just get to see pictures of the kids and grand kids anymore, so it was nice for them to be able to see Patti. It's a same they didn't have any of the kids with them. It's was a nice evening.
Sunday we went to a 95th birthday party to our old neighbor back in our first house. She's one of the ladies that I visit in the nursing home but it was nice to be able to see her and her whole family once again. We hadn't seen most of her family in probably 30 years of more and we had watched her kids grow up. It was really nice seeing them and there kids that we only little tots the last time we saw them and now they are married with children of their own. That really made us feel old. But it sure was great seeing them all.
So all in all we had a pretty special weekend. Hope yours was nice too. Hugs.
