November 12th

Well I am all football out. We had 3 games this past weekend. I went to the one on Friday night for my one grandson and it was a really close one but they ended up losing. It was sad. I've never seen Jared cry but he did after the game as it might be his last football game, if he doesn't play in college. He's had a couple of colleges interested but who knows how interested they really are. It's a wait and see sort of thing. He's filled out his applications for the two schools that he'd like to go to, that showed an interest, so now I guess they just wait to see if they are really interested or not. We hope so. He's really pretty good. Anyway on Saturday there were two more games, one at 1pm that Terry went to and one at 6pm that Terry went to too, but I just didn't have it in me to go, so I just stayed home. One team lost and one team won. So now we only have one team still in playoffs and that's a college team and I think their game next week will be away. So I don't think we will be going to that one. Basketball will start after that but we don't have as many grandsons playing that as we had playing football and at least that is inside. Thank goodness. Other than that things are pretty quiet around here. It sure is nice not having to listen to any more political commercials. I sure am glad that is over. I pray God will watch over our country and our President and guide him in what he does and lead him in the right direction. We haven't had too bad of weather but I'm sure it's bound to change sooner or later and winter is going to be upon us and I'm not looking forward to it. Thanksgiving is coming up and we are having it here, but we are just having Patti and her family so it won't be bad. She's a big help and so is Terry so it should be nice. I'm really sort of looking forward to it. I've started on an exercise program finally. I had Jared take my exercise bike downstairs with the treadmill and now I've been going down every other day and using each of them for 15 minutes each. Mentally it's making me feel better knowing that I'm doing something. Terry is still trying to talk me into going to the Y with him on Mon., Wed., and Fri., but I'd rather do it at home even though some of the machines he tells me about, I know would sure help me. I'm thinking about it, maybe. Right now I'll stick to what I'm doing for awhile and see how it goes.

I don't know how you can go to all the football games and such. I could't sit on those stands or take the cold..brrrr. My oldest granddaughter just found out she got a President's scholarship (what ever that is) and has a full ride..room and board etc. for four years to the university of Kentucky!! She is waiting to hear what Cinn. U offers her cause that is where she really wants to go. Vets Holiday celebrated today with no mail and banks closed.
