October 22nd

It's Monday and I remembered I'm supposed to post. Well lets see what can I tell you about. Not much has been going on this past week. Terry's cousin Alan stopped through on his way to Florida and stayed two nights and we had dinner with Terry's brother and his family which was nice. We don't get to see them much, so it was great to seem then all. Well it was only Terry's brothers son, wife and two little girls who are cute as a button. They are I'd say 8 and 6. Then next night Patti and her family came over for dinner and Alan got to see them too. Usually Alan stays for a week but this time he only stopped by for 2days. He was anxious to get to Florida. I can't say as I blame him. I wouldn't mine going myself if I had a home down there. Well I wouldn't want to go until after Christmas if it was me though. We didn't go to any football games this week and I'm glad we didn't as Friday night was cold and rainy and I know I would have froze. A Saturday game would have been OK but our grandson that plays on Saturday played out of town. So much for football. Terry and I did take one day last week and drove down into Kentucky a ways to a gun store that someone had told him about that he wanted to check out. It was a nice day and we really had nothing else to do so we just took off. I took my book with me that I'm reading and I read while he was in the gun store. Afterwards we went to General Butler State Park for lunch. They have a very nice lodge there with a nice restaurant and a buffet lunch and dinner. So we had lunch there. It was very good. It was a nice day. Just to do something different and to get away from the house was nice. We have done this before and have found it just nice to do for a change of pace.
